C47 Skytrain / Dakota – Angel of the Skies

Those that served in World War Two in the jungle battles of South-east Asia never forgot the angel that supplied them or transported them – the C47 Skytrain / Dakota.

This unique documentary will explain to the many descendants and relatives of the “forgotten armies” the life-saving roles of the Dakota and the brave airmen who flew them.

Presented by Terry O'Halloran, who, as a young airman in 31 Squadron, and later as joint Curator of the Squadron Museum, met air veterans of the campaign. Here is the factual story as told to the narrator by those who were there.
