Buddha Wakening

Two fearless sonic explorers. One living, breathing improvisation: Jeff Boynton & Rejyna build abstract worlds in real time, weaving circuit bent instruments with cello, guitar, voice, drums, slapstick, percussion & live looping into a hypnotic performance that is part ritual, part experiment & part ecstatic collision.

Boynton’s experienced circuit-bending & Rejyna’s live looping finesse embraces unfamiliarity creating music that doesn’t just break expectations — it makes the unknown feel exhilarating, alive & strangely nourishing.

Buddha Wakening is a wholly improvised sonic encounter — an ever-shifting soundscape of texture, pulse, noise, melody & surprise, inviting audiences to the thrilling edge where structure dissolves & discovery begins, turning uncertainty into art. Research shows that musical surprise & novelty can activate reward pathways, support learning & contribute to neuroplasticity as the brain adapts to unfamiliar sound art. Go ahead, wake your Buddha!
