Famous Bird's Underwater Manatee Dive Center

Swim with Manatees Tours is owned and operated by Bird’s Underwater Dive Shop and is located directly on King’s Bay.  Bill “Bird” and Diane Oestreich have been operating in Crystal River, Florida since 1989, at a time when there were only 4 manatee tour operations and manatees were thought to be a disappearing breed. Thankfully, the “Forgotten Mermaids” documented by Jacque Cousteau in 1971 have now been taken off the endangered species list, and numbers of manatees have greatly increased in the Crystal River waterways. We are proud to say that we have offered family friendly manatee snorkel tours, and scuba diving instruction in Citrus County for over 28 years, and gained a worldwide reputation for safety, integrity, customer service and just plain fun!
