I'm your host, Michael Couture, in graduate school to become a licensed mental health therapist and athlete. It's crucial to address mental health to help athletes reach their full potential in both competition and life. This inspired me to create Beyond the Game: Mind and Body, a platform aimed at reducing the stigma around mental health in sports. It offers a space for athletes, coaches, and fans to discuss challenges like performance stress and loneliness. Each week, I'll host discussions with athletes, coaches, and mental health experts to share experiences and strategies for managing the psychological and physical demands of sports, fostering supportive environments for well-being in the athletic community.
