Beloved Community of First Baptist Kansas City, MO

Welcome to the Beloved Community of First Baptist Kansas City, MO

Since 1855, we have been a Jesus-centered, justice-seeking, and intercultural church in the heart of KC. We believe the church should be a living reflection of God’s "Beloved Community"—a place where everyone belongs, without exception.

What We Stand For:
Authentic Community: We are a living faith community building genuine relationships of trust and hope.
Jesus & Justice: Transformed by Christ, we are committed to the liberating gift of equal dignity for every human being.
Soul Liberty: We honor your freedom to seek God’s truth and walk your unique faith journey.

A Historic Presence For 170 years, we’ve practiced soul liberty and loved our neighbors in Kansas City. Join us as we bridge ancient faith with a deep commitment to our city’s future.

Join Us! Help us build a community where everyone belongs.
