The Belle Stars were an all female band signed to Stiff Records in the 1980's who had a number of chart-entry singles including; Sign of the Times, Iko Iko, The Clapping Song, Mocking Bird, Just Another Latin Love Song, 80's Romance and the US dance hit World Domination.

Band members: Stella Barker, Claire Hirst, Miranda Joyce, Gennie Mathias, Sara-Jane Owen, Judy Parsons, Lesley Shone. The original line-up formed when The Bodysnatchers quit the scene included Penny Leyton.
