Backroom Puppets

Backroom Puppets is a creative electronic music project made by humans and machines.

Built around a love of electronic music in all its forms, there aren't many rules. Techno, trance, bassline, jungle, garage, disco and whatever happens when somebody presses the wrong button are all fair game.

Behind the masks are human songwriting, ideas, lyrics, stories and creative direction. The production brings those ideas together using artificial intelligence and digital music tools.

Words written by people. Music produced by machines.

Rab and Zeb are our guides through it all, two masked figures wandering through clubs, streets, supermarkets, strange worlds and whatever other places the music takes them.

Backroom Puppets isn't an attempt to pretend the machines aren't there. They're part of the experiment.

We're here to see what happens when human ideas collide with artificial production and to have some fun making a lot of noise along the way.
