Barn Owl and Rodent Research Group (BORG)

The Barn Owl and Rodent Research Group (BORG) is based at School of Biological Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). BORG is dedicated to promoting sustainable rodent control using barn owls (Tyto javanica javanica) in oil palm plantations and rice fields. 

Through these efforts, BORG has built a model of ecological balance, supporting both agricultural productivity and wildlife conservation. As we look ahead, BORG remains committed to expanding our research, outreach, and conservation work for many more years to come.
