Bioeast Initiative

BIOEAST is the Central and Eastern European Initiative for Knowledge-based Agriculture, Aquaculture and Forestry in the Bioeconomy, bringing together 11+ countries to build sustainable, circular bioeconomies and create value-added jobs in rural areas.
Since 1 October 2026, BIOEAST is supported by BIOEASTWIDE, a Horizon Europe project that takes over from BOOST4BIOEAST (2021–2026) and widens its scope to reinforce CEE’s integration into the European Research Area. Both projects run in parallel until December 2026 to ensure a smooth handover.

BIOEASTWIDE is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement no. 101295859 and BOOST4BIOEAST under no 101133398.
