Welcome to BONGONIKETAN, Craft of Rural Bengal.

With our roots in artisan communities, BONGONIKETAN is a homegrown initiative dedicated to bringing the handloom, handicraft, folk art and cultural heritage of rural Bengal to a wider world.

Through this channel, we share stories of Bengal’s handloom and handicraft traditions from Jamdani weaving, Kantha embroidery, handwoven sarees and traditional textiles to Chhau masks, Dokra artefacts, folk art, artisan journeys, store stories and the everyday beauty of handmade work.

Every piece carries a story of skill, patience, community and heritage. Our aim is to document these stories, celebrate the artisans and weavers behind them and preserve Bengal’s rich craft traditions for future generations.
