Block Island Residents Association (BIRA)

The Block Island Residents Association has been working on behalf of full-time and seasonal residents since 1954. We are a recognized, tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to give voice to the Block Island community by serving as an advocate of critical issues faced by the community and as a financial supporter of relevant projects initiated by BIRA or other Block Island organizations.

Collectively, our goals are to enhance the Island’s environmental, recreational and social well-being so that its residents may reap the fullest possible enjoyment of living here. A listing of our many activities, along with their descriptions, is located under Activities on this website.

Your membership in BIRA is vital in allowing the Association to carry out its mission effectively. Please join or renew your membership at www.BIRA02807.ORG/SUPPORT.
