Bio4Pak project

Welcome to our channel! 🌿
We’re transforming food packaging through nature-inspired biotechnology, creating bio-based, biodegradable and bioactive materials that fully replace fossil-carbon plastics — while maintaining safety and performance.

Funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe, we are engineering PhagTec, a phage-powered antimicrobial system, and BIO4PAK — smart, compostable packaging solutions. While fighting foodborne pathogens like Salmonella, we care to reduce food and packaging waste.

Follow our research, prototypes, and collaborations across Europe’s innovation ecosystem, as we engineer technologies that help shape a healthier, more sustainable future.
