Áskesis

Áskesis is a philosophy of training the person: a way of living with less waste, greater self-mastery, and a life ordered around Christ.

Simplify. Fulfill. Consecrate.

Here, we train life itself. We talk about Frugality, Discipline, and Faith; about habits, character, and will. We learn to distinguish what is essential from what is superfluous, to do what is required even when we do not feel like it, and to put our efforts at the service of God, trusting in His Providence.

Frugality: use little, need little, and eliminate waste. MISO — *Minimum Input. Same Output.

Discipline: do what is required, govern ourselves, and form character.

Faith: discern what is worth pursuing, re-consecrate it to God, offer our effort, and leave the outcome in His hands.

Because it is not only about what we achieve, but about who we become while doing it.

Do your best. Let God do the rest.
