Ask Ellie

AskEllie is a UK-based support channel helping parents and carers navigate SEND, disability benefits, and the systems that are meant to support disabled children — but often don’t.
We share clear, practical guidance on:
DLA, PIP, Universal Credit and Carer’s Allowance
SEND support, EHCPs, school issues and exclusions
Challenging local authorities and understanding your rights
Common mistakes, deadlines and what to do when things go wrong
Most videos are short, direct and designed to give you answers quickly. Over time, we’ll also be sharing longer videos that go deeper into complex issues, step-by-step guidance, and real-world examples.
AskEllie is not a law firm and does not replace legal advice — but it does help you understand where you stand, what you’re entitled to, and what to do next.
