Archival Griot Films

Archival Griot Films is a documentary platform dedicated to uncovering and sharing the genealogical histories of Caribbean families with the world. Inspired by the legacy of the Griot, this channel treats storytelling as a living archive—where memory, lineage, and identity are preserved and passed across generations.

Through deeply researched documentaries, we explore untold narratives of Caribbean people—tracing family histories across slavery, emancipation, migration, and education. These stories reveal complex realities: free Black families, transatlantic movement, and the pursuit of opportunity in places like Britain, Scotland, and Canada and the USA.
