The Puerto Rican Jew

I’m a proud American Jew, born and raised in America. My father was born and raised in Israel. My grandparents are the reason I’m here today because of my grandmother pinching her cheeks every morning to look healthy enough to get sent to Work instead of the “showers".
I've heard her stories, I've listened to them all. 
I've seen the tattoos "47691" branded on my safta's arm.

 I love all people from all walks of life, races, religions, ethnicities & cultures. I’m curious about them all and would love to learn more. In the end, I  want love and peace worldwide, but especially for my family in the Middle East…. 
Let’s build a bridge and not widen the gap.
