African Intersex Movement (AIM)

Welcome to the African Intersex Movement (AIM), a pan-African movement advancing the rights, dignity, visibility, and inclusion of intersex people across Africa.

Founded in 2017, AIM brings together intersex-led organisations, activists, and advocates to strengthen collective action, amplify intersex voices, challenge discrimination, and advocate for inclusive policies and systems.

On this channel, you’ll find stories from our movement, advocacy campaigns, community voices, educational content, event highlights, and conversations shaping the future of intersex rights in Africa.

We believe in a future where every intersex person can live with dignity, bodily autonomy, equality, and freedom from discrimination.
