AstroX-Lab@GT (Dr. Nakka's Lab)

Welcome to the Aerospace Robotics Lab at Georgia Tech.

Our group tackles fundamental theoretical and experimental challenges in the design, analysis, control, and development of resource constrained autonomous space systems and robotic systems for extreme environments by leveraging tools from nonlinear control theory, optimal control theory, convex optimization, and probability theory. Our current focus is on the following problems:
1) Decision Making Under Uncertainty: Design, analysis, and numerical methods to solve the stochastic optimal control problem under chance constraints.
2) Formation Planning, Optimization, and Control:
Design and control of modular autonomous agents for large scale structures and collaborative sensing.
3) Advanced mission concept design and analysis. Infusion of autonomy in the space exploration missions.
