Michael J. Reinhart:  Stories of Epic Adventure

Michael J. Reinhart is an adventure journalist, explorer and producer of the podcast Whiskey and a Map featuring interviews with the world’s most interesting adventurers and explorers.

From his young years when his mother would watch him disappear out the back yard only to return hours later with a “treasure”, he has spent his life exploring the world:  Scuba diver from the age of 13; Sailing a few years later; Mountaineer; and Adventure Racer.

He has traveled and photographed in many far-off places around the world, and his travels include racing in the Eco-Challenge Expedition Race Borneo, exploring the Caribbean coast of Mexico and the Yucatan, summiting Mount Rainier, travels through Eastern Europe during its communist days and diving wrecks off the coast of California.

Michael has worked in-country on humanitarian and medical projects in Guatemala and Kenya.  He is a volunteer advisor to an Anti-Poaching NGO working to save Africa’s elephant and Rhino.
