APSC on Aging with Lifelong Disabilities

The Area Planning & Services Committee on Aging with Lifelong Disabilities has been active since 2003, addressing the unique needs of adults with lifelong disabilities as they age. The APSC is a coalition of numerous organizations and individuals from the greater Richmond area, representing a wide array of services, including intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, residential services, higher education, caregiving, and more.

APSC’s mission includes:
-Identifying service needs and gaps.
-Improving collaboration between aging and developmental disabilities service providers.
-Offering cross-training for professionals.
-Providing educational forums and raising public awareness.
-Planning for emerging issues in aging with lifelong disabilities.

APSC is committed to bridging the gap between the developmental disabilities and aging networks, ensuring that adults with lifelong disabilities can access effective support as they age.
