I’m Siying, a native Chinese who knew nothing about Christianity until I came to the U.S. Then, I first heard the Gospel in a Chinese-speaking non-denominational church and was baptized the following year.
After 15 years of striving to live as a faithful Christian, God led me to the Catholic Church. I was fully received into the Church at the Easter Vigil in 2025. Both my faith and my life have been transformed.

There are many Chinese Christians in the U.S., but few Chinese Catholics. Through my own journey, I’ve come to realize how challenging it can be to explore Catholicism in Chinese—with limited resources and an unfamiliarity that can make it feel distant or obscure.
Through this channel, I hope to share my experiences, reflections, questions, and “aha” moments along the way—using both languages and both cultural perspectives. My hope is to introduce a few “gates” and shed some light for those who, like me, are seeking the fullness of the truth.
