A Few True Things

I’m Randy L. Smith, a former NASA researcher, engineer, and author with graduate-level education in science, philosophy, and theology. On A Few True Things, I explore difficult questions about reality where these disciplines intersect, often in conversation with Christian faith.

The goal is not to advocate for a side, but to examine claims fairly, test assumptions, correct misconceptions, and follow the evidence wherever it leads. I try to represent competing views as strongly and charitably as possible, while also saying clearly where I think the evidence points.

I take expertise seriously, but I also ask what science, philosophy, and theology can and cannot tell us. Whether you are a Christian, atheist, agnostic, scientist, or simply curious, this channel is for people who want to think carefully about complex questions without tribalism, slogans, or easy answers.

Evaluating claims. Not choosing sides.
