African Association Of Accountants General

On 6 July 2023, Africa took a decisive step in strengthening public financial management with the launch of the African Association of Accountants General, AAAG. This milestone brought Accountants General together under a single continental platform, recognizing their central role in advancing credible and effective PFM reforms. By transitioning from the Eastern and Southern Africa Accountants General, ESAAG, to a unified African body, leaders chose collaboration and unity as pathways to shared prosperity, in line with the African Union Agenda 2063.
