 6th Africa Conference on Irrigation and Drainage

The International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID), in collaboration with Nigeria's National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (NINCID), is organizing a conference themed "Tackling Irrigation Development and Water Management Crisis in Africa" scheduled for April 14-15, 2025. 

This conference is open to policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders in the field of irrigation and water management across Africa. It aims to enhance collaboration among member nations, improve the understanding of irrigation and drainage issues specific to the continent, and promote innovative water management approaches. Key topics to be discussed include technological advancements, sustainable practices, policy frameworks, climate change impacts on water resources, and strategies for enhancing agricultural productivity. Streaming live the symposium, plenary and breakout room sessions.
