4M Consortium

The Menarche, Menstruation, Menopause and Mental Health (4M) consortium is a network of researchers interested in how experiences around menstruation affect mental health.

We envision a world in which women’s reproductive health is not a barrier to women’s mental health and social wellbeing.

We believe that decisions about women’s reproductive and mental health must be informed by scientific understanding and listening to the needs and experiences of women. 

Therefore, we facilitate interdisciplinary, impact-focused research at the intersection of women’s reproductive and mental health.
