3Rs Principles in Wildlife Research

This YouTube channel is associated with the informational website “The 3Rs Principles in Wildlife Research” (https://3RsWildlife.info), which was created for wildlife biologists, ecologists, and conservation managers.

The 3Rs principles (Replace, Reduce, Refine) were originally developed and are still mostly implemented in research on lab animal models. However, they can – and should – be applied across all disciplines of life sciences where animals are being used, including research on wild animals. The website provides guidance on how to achieve this goal.
