2 International Legion of defence of Ukraine

The Second International Legion is a battalion of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The main composition is Ukrainians, Belarusians and Georgians, which is a unique feature of the structure. Thanks to the Second International Legion that they can effectively and harmoniously realize a common goal - to fight for the restoration of historical justice and against the common enemy - the Russian Federation as a continuation of the traditions of imperialism.

Representatives of other nationalities also serve in the ranks of the Second International Legion, including Poles, British, Americans, New Zealanders, Swedes, Hindus, Taiwanese and others. 

The battalion was formed between September and December 2022. The organizational structure included representatives of the former First International Special Forces Company, which took part in hostilities in the East of the country, in particular, in the battles for Hryhorivka, Novodruzhesk, Lysychansk, and Siversk.
