13: Not Your Typical Tour Guide

Welcome to 13: Not Your Typical Tour Guide.

I’m Dion “13,” a Washington, DC tour guide and storyteller with more than a decade of experience bringing the city’s history to life.

This channel is for people who want more than dates, monuments, and textbook history. We’ll explore the mysteries, personalities, neighborhoods, conflicts, culture, and overlooked stories that shaped Washington, DC and the people who moved through it.

From the Lincoln assassination conspiracy and the streets of U Street to Capitol Hill, Civil Rights history, sports, music, and the stories hiding in plain sight, I want you to experience history where it actually happened.

Some videos will take you directly onto the streets of Washington. Others will dig deeper into the stories behind my original walking experiences, including The Missing Conspirator, Transit, Tragedy & Triumph, and Inside the Power Complex.

This isn’t just sightseeing.

It’s History in Motion.
