Located in the foothills of California's Sierra Nevada Mountains, this former gold-rush town now delivers a different kind of rush to mountain bikers. The town is surrounded by the Tahoe National Forest, whose rugged stream-laced terrain, isolation and picturesque views make it a perfect place for biking trails, with which the area abounds.
