More than thirty years ago Werner Erhard introduced the breakthrough notion of "transformation" and the est Training to the American public. This notion of transformation created a clear distinction between change within an existing world view or frame of reference, and creating an entirely new world view and subsequently came to be seen as a powerful, practical, and relevant resource in contemporary society. The ideas he developed have now found their way into organizations and societies all over the world.
Werner Erhard was recognized with several awards for his work including the Mahatma Gandhi Humanitarian Award. Fortune magazine in May of 1995, in examining the major contributions to management thinking, recognized Werner Erhard's creation of est as the major innovation of the 1970s in shaping modern management thinking toward empowering people.
