Yeah, much at least if not most. Few bands have as many participants as they have instruments on a record ^^

(+ this is how alot of music is written in the first place, 1 person and alot of recording eqp)

no. well maybe it depends on the type of music, like usually if with like rock or metal bands they would either play as a group and record it or play individually and then put it together in the mixing station.
