No, I will never feel bad for fans of a defending champion who lost in a game 7. Only times I ever felt bad for fans was '99 for Buffalo, because they had 0 championships.

@Bassfanatic94 ya but you have to remeber how crushin it was, they had the cup hand wrapped to them, a 3-2 series lead after a 5-0 blowout. You sometimes have to feel for the reaction of the fans, they were just frustrated becuase that should have been a repeat, im no red wings fan but i would think some hockey fans would relaize that but i guess not.

@dilectible totally couldn't agree anymore. Detroit is a bunch of sore losers and they self nominated themselves as hockey town. You could make an argue for tons of other cities to be named that but it is definitely not Detroit.

Detroit no class booing during the presentation of the Conn Smythe and Stanley Cup Presentation. You call yourself Hockeytown but showed no respect. Your only Hockeytown when the Red Wings Win. Pittsburgh showed you a lot more respect and you should have at least returned the favor. For a city who calls theirselves Hockeytown, why can't you sell your stadium out for a 7th game Stanley Cup Final. You couldn't even wait until the Pens were finished celebrating to jump up for the handshake.

Yep, noticed that as well. A lot of the boo's really couldnt be heard on tv. I was told and believed the detroit fans were booing the commisioner, but this vid is proof a lot of detroit fans were just sore losers.
