(Via John Amato, http://crooksandliars.com ) Jay is a supporter of the public option and was pissed that the co-op proposal was inserted in the Baucus bill since it was never even talked about during the general election. Isn't it nice that Baucus has killed the public option just to work with Republicans? Conservatives don't even have to win elections to get what they want. That's some deal they have.

  • yuck it's one of the rockefellers, the evil elites

  • Co-ops are a really stupid idea! It'd cost more to regulate them than it would to have a public option.

Why no suggestions in Congress about extending programs in which they and federal workers participate? They're a lot cheaper than the other private insurance "provided" by employers. Adding a lot more of "us" to those plans would bring the costs down even more. Why haven't we heard that? It's not public and it's not single-payer, but it exists and could be a lot cheaper.

  • I'm not too fond of anything a Rockefeller has to say, but on this particular subject matter, I agree.
