This is an extract from the BBC TV programme "Sunday Life" broadcast on July 20th 2008. This segment concerns the athletic achievement of two Somali young people in Sheffield and includes a visit to Springfield School.

well done to the brothers.....but why the fukk does these white ppl alwayz make coming from a war bakground a bad thing?? dont they realise thats wat makes us work harder and more focused no matter what it is.....if we want to study and learn and graduate we can be the best and if we decide to take over the streets and burn the uk down, we can also be the best. i advise everyone not to apply the latter one.................yet looool
They are serving their adoptive country (Britain) and very proud of their achievements. They are a good example for other young british somalis of this great country of theirs.
Well done boys, your adoptive country is very proud of you as well as your country of origin. We got our own Mohamed Farah aka Mo farah over here and he is in Hargeisa, Somaliland right now helping young kids from his native country.
