Well they would say it's a good idea to dump them like that.Why not refit them for another few years life,especially as the carbodies appear to be made from expensive stainless steel!They dumped all our old trains in England too.Years of life left in their simple electrics and mechanical parts.Such a waste.

Dumping electric rail cars into the ocean is a complete waste.Leave it to the MTA and this Michael Zacchea mental retard to think of something this moronic.These cars could have been used for anything,including educational & historical purposes.They could have been sold to museums across the country for everybody to enjoy or used on rail rides;being pulled by diesel locomotives perhaps.The cars are not even holding up under water.This Michael Zacchea is as stupid as he looks.

The 1 had red birds, when I wa sgrowing up, I remeber the redbirds were mostly on the 7 and to some extent the 2 train. That must've been along time ago, Like before the they had the skip stop 9 service.
