Let's straighten this out.

Emo has many definitions. It started as a genre, in the 80s and 90s with bands who's music was classified as emo, not their image. The whole media fall out boy mcr craze turned emo into a "style" / teenage phase. Being called emo isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you have the right intentions.

I don't know a whole lot about Copeland, but they sure don't seem to be the guyliner wearing tools I've seen out there. Their music hits home. What's so wrong with that?

@Strangleddd The band pressures fans not to question the meaning of the lyrics, citing that the writer puts enough of his heart into the lyrics without having to explain their meaning to him. Music is open to interpretation. That said, I have my own theory that varies wildly from the usual perception. What's yours?
