I wanted to update you all on my situation.. I was sick about a year ago i had liver cancer and was told i only had a few months to live. my girlfriend had kicked me out and my best friend had shot himself.. I thought I had hit the bottom of my well. Later things took a turn for the worse. My girlfriend took her life and i lost about 80 pounds from the cancer treatment.. I was tired of living.. but I kept on with treatment and now about a year later I'm in remission and doing much better...

The singer is lying in a bed, near death... while staring up at the crucifix on the wall, he begins to profess his faith in Christ and that he gave everything (his life) and took nothing...He says he was a "fool" to not have admitted he needed/wanted Christ...The singer passes away at the end asking Christ to "hold me while I die, meet you on the other side".

Thats my take on the song...Great song !!

I am 16 and my dad passed away from cancer years ago and I was reading through the comments and I saw several comments about how some of you have cancer and your parents do too. And you guys are saying stay strong. Do just that. That's all you can do.
