I was merely stating what my experince has been. No generation is any better or any worse than previous generations. That was my point when I quoted Plato. Altough I received my degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1983, I decided to take some courses at the local Community College. I was in a cast during one semester and the kids (17 to 20) were very kind. They opened doors for me, carried my back-pack, et cetera. Also, my Godson/nephew is 16 and he is a great kid. You seem angry/bitter.

@MorpheusAndBacchus on the extreme side and say today's youth has no potential and that we are all immoral. That's not true, but I believe (having first hand experince with all these kids) is that the majority of kids are idiots or assholes. I cannot say how nice people were back when you were a kid, but it seems like they seemed to actually stand for something and respect the world and it's people. My generation (in my opinion) sucks. @MorpheusAndBacchus As a 16 year old today I can say that about 90% of the kids at my school want nothing more than to be popular, get drunk, and have sex with random people (The latter 2 to make them more popular). About 3/4 of those kids will do stupid stuff such as egg cars and houses. Just a very small percentage thinks of doing more with their lives than just being popular. They riot in the streets inflamed with wild notions. Their morals are decaying. What is to become of them?" That is what Plato said more than 2 millenia ago. You know nothing of the youth of today. I am in my 50s and my experience is that kids are nicer today than they were in your generaion or mine.
