The song is absolute shit. I read the Bible, pray, go to Meeting (Quaker: some of you will say I'm not Christian... meh) and that song is still shit. Defending a song that offensive is like trying to defend war. Just because some piece of music, art, film, etc., has a good message does not mean the piece is good. I can't paint but if I painted some piece of crap and said it represented God's grace, it would still be shit.
And yes the movie sucked, too.
