From Spain, we stand and salute and thank all those who fell for the cause of the free ... for us. Least we forget.

I'm puzzled. I was expecting to hear Elgar's setting of 'For the Fallen', rather than to see Binyon's words and hear the beautiful but unrelated Nimrod. But many thanks anyway.

Crying watching this having just heard that another of our (british) soldiers has been killed. 208 of our troops and 1286 in total in the Afghan conflict. Every one of them someones son or daughter, father or mother, brother / sister or lover...so many lives destroyed. Why cant mankind learn the lessons of the past and live in peace with each other?

This brought a tear to my eye. The brave men that fought and died for this country and its people should never be forgotten. It was only recently that I discovered my great-great-grandfather was killed at the age of 33, when my great-grandfather was only 10 years old.

The poem has been changed for some reason; where it says 'Britain' it's ment to be 'England' as the original and only version states. Nevertheless, brilliant piece of music. We remember them all! God bless!

You in the UK are way ahead of the USA. We have forgotten the Doughboys - and it is a national scandal. What hypocrites we are! But bless the boys, all of them.

I have lived in the States for 10 years and while I do like the USA some things leave me quite shocked and one of them is how much is forgotten, or indeed commercialized. Most people here in the States will likely remember Veterans Day for the sales rather than the sacrifice.
