  • @theone1087 He is dealing with our present living civilization - which is a european phenomenon. He often refers to Egypt but as an example of how civilization can become completely stagnant - as virually all other civilizations have become - with the possible exception of Japan.

  • It looks like some negative comments have been removed from all these clips. Just the replies are shown. This is really odd, and detracts from the flow of commentary. It says that the comment was "flagged as spam." Spam? Seems like it was in fact on topic judging from the reply. Not likely "spam." If abusive or obscene, it might well be removed. But not otherwise.

  • @theone1087

    Try again harder next time.

  • @vanderbilt887 Excellent point, which I clearly have to agree with the utmost exceptional recognition toward the United Kingdom, not to knock the rest of Europe but if you look at the Hispanosphere, Lusosphere (Portuguese speaking), Francosphere and finally our sphere the Anglosphere. English speaking peoples from India to the United States have inherited a most scientific and reasoning culture and us Anglophones are much smarter and wealthier according to statistics.

  • It was probably nothing short of inevitable before such a comment had to pop up. It's not eurocentric (how could it be otherwise?) because "during antiquity Europeans were still living in tribes and huts" (how contempocentric of you!), it's because after antiquity, Europeans not only drastically transformed and improved those real contributions you listed, but made contributions themselves which are *by far* unmatched in world history, which together constitute the entire point of this series.
