Is Eli Manning Better than Peyton Manning?

Eli Manning is this week's TYT sports "Turk of the Week". Eli Manning and the Giants stayed within striking distance responded to every score the Patriots put up. Eli hit Mario Manningham and Jake Ballard for scores in the fourth quarter at Gillette Stadium. The Giants beat the Patriots 24-20.

I can see the "Big Game" inference, but NOT the "Superbowl" records, namely because the sample size is too small......it's hard to quantify something like that since most great quarterbacks don't even get to play more than two Superbowls with the same team. It can depend on opponents, teammates, etc. more than the actual ability of the quarterback.

Eli more clutch? definitely. But based on two Superbowls? No. Based on all his big games.

@AceofDlamonds Lets just say colts rely more on peyton than the giants on Eli, you could clearly see that these year (2 - 14) , I think in stats peyton is better, in clutch eli is better, but in big games and important moments, eli is better cause he is 2/2 superbowls and peyton 1/2 , not to mention the fact eli is way younger (6 years).

@Firstblk peyton calls his own offense, and has been the most consistent QB in the league, peytons defense doesnt COMPARE to elis, eli is great in his own right, but peyton is undoubtedly better, plus this year he had nicks, cruz and manningham the second best recieving core in the league behind the packers, if you gave that to peyton ALONG with that defense, it wouldnt even be a valid question...

Peyton had a better team ,and better receivers Marvin Harrison  Reggie Wayne . Eli had Armani Toomer Plaxico Buress. Now he have decent receivers. When Eli came in the League the Giants didn't have a good offense around him or a good offensive line. Eli is one of the All time Greats. Wait til next year. His confidence is at a All time high. I don't what it's going to take for him to get the respect he deserve. Eli had lot of tipped ball interceptions on balls that should of been caught .

That's exceedingly superficial..

So what if he got to the Superbowl twice recently and won both of them....it took the entire team to get there in the first place. Eli happened to win both of his, and Peyton, one of his. It's hardly telling of the fact that Eli's teammates just seem to work better with him than the Colts receivers with Peyton.
