    I was also 11 in 1961. I remember it was lunch hour in the 7th grade and we had a record player. Some 8th grade girls got hold on it and played this song and they were in absolute and eternal ecstasy listening to it. 52 years later I can see it in my mind...

    was my favorite. My Mom gave me a tiny radio that had a lion in a cage as the theme.....it was after my Dad died when I was about 8- this song kept playing to me at night and help me sleep and find peace. It is really special to me.
