@davebayod In I Corinthians 13 it says Love keeps no record of wrongs. Love is long-suffering. God is love. God never made Hell, we did in mythology starting in Egypt and then was adopted by the ancient greeks. They learned better though. Why can't we?
@davebayod Oh but God does care. He loves us so much! In the hebrew and greek texts like Koine greek there is no Hell at all. Hell did not come about in the english texts till the dark ages(Thanks King James...). And devil/Satan is a term that is used for the word adversary which means someone against God. The Bible says God is for us, through us and in us all(Ephesians 4:6). In Hebrews 10 it states that God will never be reminded of our sins again.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
Pretty much sums up why all the "perfectly good god" religions are bullshit.
@mooglebait thnx for ur response. i think is very respectful and considerate. and i watched the vid and heard the explanation. theres one thing though: in the bible it does say theres hell. in genesis, god created it to send the luciel and his legion. second it does say theres a devil, he even appeared to god. it does not say jesus was tempted period. it says the devil himself appeared and talked to him. why u take some parts (jesus saviour) and discard others? (hell and god not caring)
@davebayod God does not mess up. All things are apart of His divine masterpiece. We are that masterpiece. He does good for good AND evil. He loves ALL mankind, past, present and future equally and without ending. He even came down in the flesh for us to give us a better life. There is nothing we could have done to save ourselves. Not by works, as Ephesians 2:8 says. Believing is a work. Believe or not we are ALL heaven bound. Check out No Hell - Joey here to see my point by NewCovenantGroup.
ok so youre saying, GOd - all mighty, all powerful, all knowing. admitted he fucked up something about his doings and thus repented of it? but if he knows all why he did wrong in first place? or if it was intentional, why repent later? I mean, this supreme being has a plan or is he doing things by trial and error? cause either way is kinda messed up. Thing is I do believe in a force beyond us, but to think he is human-like, i find it just amusing. its highly comical
dave dave dave : Ok, first off: Jonah 3:10: ".....and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them, and he did it not." Amos 7 : "The Lord repented for this........" Exodus 33:17 "and the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that you have spoken." Exodus 32:14 : "And God changed his mind of the evil which he thought to do unto his people."
