This song is about people near to you that die. They were kids to you but they now are just dead hearts. If you believe they are out there, as ghosts. That men was the man from the funeral. The dead men but as a ghost. That kid noticed him and tried to follow him because of the curiosity. And dead hearts are everywhere. People that already died are out there but you have to believe and pay attencion to them. I'm sorry if there is any English problems, this is not my first language.

I also did before I heard an interview with him where he talked about the influence of his father's death on the album. Agree that it would be more meaningful if it was about people who live pointless lives because they live without hopes and dreams etc just going through the motions. The song just being about ghosts is pretty boring to me. Anyway some of their other songs do seem to have a deeper meaning.
