(1/2) I love that every time the man and dream girl touch he loses more of himself to her. At the beginning he is fully shaded. At 0:48 his shading seems to trail behind him. At 0:56, when she appears in the flash of light, he is just lines. He rolls across the ground and seems to gather shading back up. As he holds her in the air from 1:17 on, his solidity starts flowing up into her. At 1:45, when he wakes up, it's back again, but once he is asleep he is just an outline again.

I view it like this: The man starts off alone. He meets this woman who constantly seems to evade him. Through the whole dance of their relationship, there is passion, but they're never truly together. She's not completely there. He gets tired of chasing her. Over the course of the romance he loses his willingness to be with her. He loses his solidity and he himself becomes the one that's not really there, just as she is ready to stop running. Very sad, very beautiful.
