Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Recut Trailer

After seeing Ferris Bueller at the cinema last weekend, I decided to recut a trailer as an editing exercise.
My aim was to make it look more like an indie coming of age film; perhaps the kind of film Sofia Coppola or Godard might make.
The music is 'A Slight Return Home' by Woodpigeon.

This is really cool. And the very, very cool thing is that this movie also exists, deep inside the crazy, over-the-top movie in the "real" trailer.

Really well done- highlighting every moment of angst and cutting out all the frenetic action. Someone watching this trailer before seeing the film for the first time would be caught off guard by the film. A great example of selective editing.

How funny! I just did the EXACT OPPOSITE -- I re-cut the trailer to make a BIG SUMMER TENTPOLE of a movie (see my channel). We used a lot of the same shots in similar ways.

You totally caught the indie style. At it's heart FBDO isn't even about Ferris, it's about Cameron, but you made it look like the meaningful aspects ARE about Ferris. Really nice work!
