@sakkorig totally agreed. Mary said that Jeff could have just as easily claimed Page and Plant as his parents. Find any true artist who claims Zep as their top influence and you'll find someone who embraces all genre's of music, like Jeff. You definitely hear both in his music. You can also hear bits of Rush and Yes in his playing. Like Page and Plant, Buckley not only followed his influences, but explored their infuences as well.To me, he represented the next phase of musical evolution.

My father saw him live in the Starry Plough in Berkeley. I wish I was older so I could have seen him before he died. I cry when I listen to his studio songs. I can't imagine what he is like live

@EliasMohr You should be. Jeff loved zeppelin and he embraced the singing style of robert plant and jimmy page. I have a legacy edition grace with a dvd and he talks about them for a bit i think. you can here plants singing in here cant you? :)

@momz2sable If you want to get to know more about Jeff's work and his story, I recommend the "Grace Around the World" DVD set and the book "Dream Brothers," which also covers Tim's life in terms of how it affected Jeff. I have nothing to gain but your respect and appreciation for recommending these. Peace.
