People who believe everything ultimately came from nothing fascinate me. Then they say things like "you don't believe something can come from nothing but you believe in a god. Where did your god come from?" God cannot come from anything. If he came from something than he would not be God would he. God is infinite, he always was and always will be. His name is translated as "I AM" you can put physical limitations on GOD. He exist outside of physics.

You didn't understand his point, which is that energy can change LOCALLY provided that the NET energy of the system remains zero.

He's talking rubbish to people who has no understanding of how physics work. Every phycisist knows that the amount of Energy in the universe doesn't change, it doesn't increase nor decrease - Energy can only change form. And Energy can't come from nothing.

And another thing to make clear here is, that Vacuum is NOT "nothing", Vacuum is also something - as it's a space we can move through. But what we know not is what is outside our universe, it isn't Vacuum, since our border is Vacuum.
