  • Pure genius ! Imagine where we'd be now, if we'd spend the last 30 years building and expanding this system. There would be no pollution problem, oil crisis, etc....no worrying about car repairs, depreciation, etc.

  • "A large test track facility was built in Hagen, Germany, that was used for an extensive testing program conducted from 1973 to 1979."

You can find a lot of info on Professor Jerry Schneider's website. Google "innovative transportation" and it should be one of the first links.

  • @weplay Das Kabinentaxi selber wurde in Hagen getestet und die Bilder aus der Fahrgastperspektive wurden in Wuppertal aus der Schwebebahn gemacht.

  • worst idea since the wheel.

  • @kvzsbt At least you have to worry about repairing the system :D

  • Hagen Vorhalle Germany

  • Why wasn't this thing built all over the damn place?! o_O

  • @palegrey If you're in a dense neighborhood, this really wouldn't seem too out of place. I don't think these would be built in a freaking subdivision. And if they were, they'd be much closer to the ground and be travelling on their own right of way along a main road.

  • how is it any worse than asphalt roads and giant freeways filled with SUV's

  • Great drawings and pictures!
